Red Tape Theatre Company, now in its eighth season, is committed to the creation of new and experimental work. Our plays invite audiences to reimagine their world by bringing them in to the world of the play. Our unique space allows us to tailor the audience/artist relationship for each production. When the doors of the space open, you never know what to expect.
We pride ourselves on providing a supportive home for our artists and administrators. We are working to create a team of innovative thinkers, working across discipline to create risky theatre. It is recommend that you see a Red Tape production before submitting.

Artistic Director
Red Tape Theatre Company is seeking an Artistic Director to help guide its ensemble and staff into our tenth season and many more. Qualified candidates should possess arts administration and directing experience, knowledge of and experience in the Chicago theatre community, and an interest in continuing to build an artistically adventurous and diverse ensemble. In addition, we are looking for someone with an interest in establishing a solid relationship with St. Peter’s Episcopal Church where we are housed, and an interest in supporting our neighborhood community organizations and businesses.
Managing Director
Red Tape Theatre Company is seeking a Managing Director to assist its staff and ensemble into our tenth season and many more. Qualified candidates must possess working knowledge of theatrical finance, marketing, and development, and an interest in being part of an administrative staff in an experimental theatre company.
