This summer, Red Tape Theatre is proud to showcase three devised pieces as part of our annual Fresh Eyes Project. The public presentations (open rehearsals) will be on Saturday, July 21st at Red Tape Theatre between 12pm and 5pm.

Phenomenon Project (12pm)
A performative investigation of science, faith, and the universe through structural, temporal, and spatial experimentation.

Off the Spectrum (1:30pm)
Off the Spectrum attempts to explain the complexities of autism spectrum disorders by investigating the science and theories of how the autistic mind works, and exploring the emotional ups and downs of having a loved one that is autistic. In developing this work, devisors will make use of traditional theatrical devises as well as audience interactive elements to develop an honest and heartfelt picture of life with autism. Audiences and performers will leave the production with a greater empathy for this ever-expanding group of people within our human community, with the ultimate goal being ultimate awareness, understanding and compassion.

Matawan (3pm)
In the summer of 1916, a series of freakish and fatal shark attacks plagued the Jersey Shore. Further inland, a polio epidemic plagued the urban epicenter of Philadelphia. Matawan interweaves terrifying history with theatricality to examine our collective national fear through these two events.
